How to shape your own sentence
- Replace “helped” or “responsible for” with what you actually did.
- Add who, what or how often only if you know it.
- No measured result? Describe the work without inventing one.
Action + work + detail is a starting shape, not a required formula.

Three worked examples.
The job asks for five years. You have three. What belongs on the resume?
Six email launches give this candidate something concrete to show. Paid-search budgets and two missing years are a different problem.
How do you show project coordination when your job title was in retail?
A six-week store refit involved delivery dates, three suppliers and weekly updates. Here is how that work fits a project-coordinator application.
You organized the team, but nobody reported to you. Is that leadership?
The task board and weekly check-ins show how this student helped a four-person team. Calling the classmates direct reports would tell a different story.
Why keep an evidence trail?
Connect the job requirement, the work you did and the claim you can support. Keep unresolved gaps visible.
